Emma Olene Williamson Cauble, 98, of Cape Girardeau died Friday, May 5, 2023, at Monticello House in Jackson.
She was born March 25, 1925, in Fayette, Alabama, to Marion and Delma Watson Williamson. She and George Alfred Cauble married Aug. 26, 1944, in Brady, Texas, where he was in pilot training in the U.S. Air Force. At the end of World War II, they moved home to Cape Girardeau.
Olene attended Massey Business College in Birmingham, Alabama. She was a secretary for Cauble & Field Inc. in Cape Girardeau for 25 years until she and George retired and moved to Tavares, Florida.
Olene was a member of First Baptist Church in Cape Girardeau. She served as the secretary/treasurer of SEMO District Fair Association and was a member of Rodney Vista Homemakers.
Survivors include two daughters, Alice E. "Becky" (Gary) Schlosser of Scott City and Mary Roselyn "Rosie" (Danny) Conrad of Foley, Alabama; a brother, Billy Roy Williamson of Texas; a sister, Anice J. Williamson Benton of Fayette; five grandchildren, Alicia White Lincoln of Cape Girardeau, Carisa (Eddie) Schlosser Barnhill of Tampa, Florida, Laurie (Rob) Conrad Zeitler of St. Louis, Kristen Conrad of Honolulu and Jenny (Brad) Quinley of Knoxville, Tennessee; a stepgrandson, Scott (Jodi) Schlosser of St. Louis; and 11 great-grandchildren, Garrett, Brett and Caiden Zeitler, Drake, Jordan and Mason Winschel, Eric and Rachel Quinley, Haley Lincoln, Reese and Brody Barnhill.
Olene was preceded in death by her parents; husband; son, George Marshall; three brothers, Marion Jr., Lanier and Lonnie C. Williamson; and a sister, Katie L. Black.
Visitation will be from 9 to 11 a.m. Saturday, May 13, at Ford and Sons Mount Auburn Funeral Home in Cape Girardeau.
Funeral will follow at 11 a.m. Saturday, May 13, at the funeral home, with the Rev. Mark Anderson officiating. Burial will be at Cape County Memorial Park Cemetery in Cape Girardeau.
