OAK RIDGE, Mo. -- Odessa M. Kurre, 92, of New Johnsonville, Tenn., died Wednesday, June 13, 2001, at Camden General Hospital in Camden, Tenn.
She was born May 3, 1909, at Oak Ridge, daughter of Emory and Ruby Drum Bowers. She and James N. Scott were married July 13, 1936. He died Jan. 17, 1957.
Kurre worked at International Shoe Co. in Jackson a number of years, then was a cook with Ohio Barge Line and at several restaurants in Cape Girardeau County.
Survivors include a daughter, Phyllis Scott of New Johnsonville, and a half sister, Juanita Russell of Oak Ridge.
She was preceded in death by a grandson.
Friends may call at Cracraft-Miller Funeral Home in Jackson, Mo., from 9-11 a.m. Saturday.
Funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Cy Smith officiating. Burial will be in New Salem Cemetery at Daisy, Mo.
