CHAFFEE -- Ocie Loraine Griswell, 84, of Chaffee died Thursday, Nov. 26, 1998, at Heartland Care Rehab Center in Cape Girardeau.
She was born Nov. 7, 1914, at McNairy, Tenn., daughter of Walter and Elizabeth Jones Smith.
She was a homemaker.
On Dec. 5, 1932, she married Alvin Griswell. He survives of Chaffee.
She is also survived by two sons, Jerry Griswell of French Village, Mo., and Lonnie Griswell of Missouri City, Texas; four daughters, Faye Marie McAlister of Chaffee, Joy Griswell of Elbridge, Tenn., Nancy Reynolds of Obion, Tenn., and Sylvia Hager of Cape Girardeau; a brother, Cratis Smith of Jackson, Tenn.; a sister, Fay Curry of Newbern, Tenn.; 20 grandchildren; and 33 great-grandchildren.
A son, two daughters, brother, three sisters, two grandchildren and great-grandchild preceded her in death.
Friends may call at 10 a.m. Sunday at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Chaffee.
Funeral will be at 1 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Jack Owens officiating. Burial will follow in Morgan Memorial Park Cemetery in Advance.
