SIKESTON -- Memorial service for O.C. Cole Jr. of Sikeston will be held at 2 p.m. today at Ponder Funeral Home. The Rev. Lee Fansler will officiate.

Friends may call at the funeral home from 1 p.m. until service time.

Cole, 81, died Thursday, March 12, 1998, at his home.

He was born March 3, 1917, at Gray Ridge, son of Ollie and Rowena Cole Sr.

Cole had been a truck driver with Lewis Bakery. He was a member of the Teamsters Union.

Survivors include two daughters, Barbara Watkins of Sikeston, Elaine Cole-Grant of Holden; a brother, Lonnie Cole of Fort Wayne, Ind.; a sister, Beulah Lockhart of Smithville, N.J.; seven grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by four brothers and sisters.
