Obie Hendrickson, son of the late Oscar Hendrickson and Ruby Ann Johnson, was born Nov. 20, 1932, in Randells, Missouri, and departed this life Sunday March 7, 2021, at the age of 88 years.
Mr. Hendrickson was a sergeant in the U. S. Army and served during the Korean war.
On Nov. 2, 2001, he married Idres Louise Cox-Dalton. She survives of the home.
Also surviving are daughters, Patty Taner of Allenville, Missouri, Gaila (Randy) Adams of Burfordville, Karen (Ted) Hornbuckle of Zalma, Missouri, and Kathy (Kenny) Pinkerton of Chaffee, Missouri; stepsons, Jeff (Nancy) Dalton of Scott City and Mike (Cheryl) Dalton of Jackson; 27 grandchildren; 55 great-grandchildren; 15 great-great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Jerry Hendrickson; daughters, Doris Kinkade and Donna Vessels; brothers, Bud Hendrickson and Joey Hendrickson; sister, Bertha Mae Brumbaugh; grandchild, Terry Craft; and great-grandchildren: Noah and Lily Adams.
Visitation will be from noon to 1 p.m. Wednesday at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Chaffee.
Funeral will follow at 1 p.m. at the funeral home chapel, with Pastor Jack Owens officiating. Burial will follow in Perkins Cemetery, with full military honors in Perkins, Missouri.
