OADUS WHITE

GRAY RIDGE -- Graveside service for Oadus G. White of Gray Ridge will be held at 2:30 p.m. today in Garden of Memories Cemetery at Sikeston.

Friends may call at Watkins and Sons Funeral Home in Dexter from 1-2 p.m. today.

White, 96, died Sunday, Feb. 22, 1998, at Beverly Health and Rehabilitation Center in New Madrid.

He was born Nov. 26, 1901, near Dudley, son of John and Mary Razor White. He and Grace Horn were married Sept. 1, 1924. She died Dec. 9, 1983.

White had served as tax assessor of Richland Township and as tax collector in Stoddard County. He later owned and operated a general store many years in Gray Ridge.

Survivors include a daughter, June Barton of Catron; three grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a son, grandson, sister, and a brother.
