Norval Andrew Sadler, 90, of Cape Girardeau died Tuesday, May 9, 2023, at Saint Francis Medical Center.

He was born March 10, 1933, in Chaffee, Missouri, to Monroe C. and Ada Roberts Sadler. He and Betty Halter were married Oct. 21, 1950, in Arkansas.

He served in the U.S. Navy Reserve.

Norval was a tire salesman for World Tire in St. Louis. After retirement, he spent his time taking care of his wife, Betty, fishing, watching movies on TV -- old movies and old westerns -- and spending time with family.

He was a member of St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church in Cape Girardeau.

Survivors include a son, Gary (Vickie) Sadler of Cape Girardeau; a daughter, Barbara (Dan) Mahnken of Kansas City, Missouri; a brother, Jerry (Karen) Sadler of Atlanta; four grandchildren, Mitchell Sadler, Nathan (Laura Morrow) Sadler, Eric Mahnken and Rebecca (John) Koffman; and three great-grandchildren, Tysen Sadler, Bryson Koffman and Aubrey Koffman.

Norval was preceded in death by his parents, wife and four brothers, William D. "Woody" Sadler, Donald Sadler, Norbert "Cotton" Sadler and Harlan Sadler.

Visitation will be from 9 to 10 a.m. Friday, May 12, at Ford and Sons Mount Auburn Funeral Home in Cape Girardeau.

Funeral will follow at 10 a.m. Friday, May 12, at the funeral home, with Bill Littrell officiating. Burial, with full military honors, will be at Park Lawn Cemetery, 1800 Lemay Ferry Road, in St. Louis.
