Norman R. Hann Sr., 72, of Dexter, Mo., died Thursday, July 5, 2007, at Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau.

He was born Nov. 15, 1934, in Jasper County, Ill., son of Esther A. Michl Hann and the late Bernard Hann. He and Susan Harrison were married March 15, 2000, in Bloomfield, Mo.

Hann moved to Dexter in 1965. He had worked as a heating and air contractor and was a member of the St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church in Sikeston, Mo.

Survivors include his wife, Susan Hann of Dexter; two sons, Norman Hann Jr. of Cape Girardeau and Rick Hann of Pasedena, Texas; five daughters, Shannon Hann of Dexter, Sheila Nebors of Snellville, Ga., June Wilson of Nacogdoches, Texas, Lix Dear of Laport, Texas, and Lisa McCarthy of Buford, Ga.; six brothers, Phillip Hann and Paul Hann, both of Dexter, Mo., Neal Hann of Morehouse, Mo., Julian Hann of Russellville, Ark., Leon Hann of Oklahoma City, and Joseph Hann of Cape Girardeau; seven sisters, Bernadine Evans of Troy, Mo., Dolores Bee and Joan Moore, both of Sikeston, Mo., Trinita Smith of Pontiac, Mo., Mary Latham of Matthews, Mo., Matilda McMullian of Cape Girardeau and Eileen Hann of Denver; 14 grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his father, Bernard A. Hann and a brother, Jacques Hann.

Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Watkins and Sons Funeral Service in Dexter.

Funeral Mass will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church in Sikeston, with the Rev. Scott Sunnenberg officiating.

Interment will be at Missouri Veteran's Cemetery in Bloomfield.
