SCOTT CITY -- Norman Edgar Rainey, 85, of Scott City, died Wednesday, Sept. 25, 1991, at Southeast Missouri Hospital.
He was born June 10, 1906, in Cape Girardeau, son of William S. and Lola Mae Riley Rainey. He and Lorraine Marie Heisserer were married Oct. 7, 1939. She died April 29, 1989.
Rainey was a conductor more than 50 years with St. Louis Southwestern Railroad. He was a member of Illmo United Methodist Church, Harold O. Grauel Masonic Lodge 672 AF&AM, and United Trainmen's Union. He also was a member of the Scottish Rites and Shriner's clubs.
Survivors include a sister, Letha Moeder of Cape Girardeau, and a brother, William Rainey of O'Fallon.
He was preceded in death by two brothers and three sisters.
Funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Scott City. The Rev. William Dickey will officiate, with burial in Lightner Memorial cemetery here.
Friends may call at the funeral home after 4:30 p.m. today. A Masonic service will be held at 7:30.
