She was born May 8, 1934, to William and Vera Stork Petry in Evansville, Illinois. Norma married Samuel Grecco, and he preceded her in death. Norma Grecco Woods, 87, of Cape Girardeau, formerly of Chester, Illinois, passed away Sunday, Dec. 26, 2021, at her home.

She was born May 8, 1934, to William and Vera Stork Petry in Evansville, Illinois. Norma married Samuel Grecco, and he preceded her in death. She later married Larry Woods, and he also preceded her in death.

Norma worked at the Chester Memorial Hospital for 45 years and was the director of medical records. She was active in the Chester community, volunteering with the hospital auxiliary and nursing home auxiliary. She was a member of Red Hat Society and Rotary Club and attended and served at many local churches.

Survivors include her son, Richard (Alicia) Grecco; granddaughters, Angela (Tommie) Houston and Ashley Taylor; grandsons, Matt (Brooke) Uchtman and Samuel Taylor; great-grandchildren, Jocelynn and Tyler Houston, Madison, Avery and Griffin Uchtman; and several other relatives and friends.

Besides her husbands and parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Cynthia Taylor.

Memorial visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Jan. 28 at Grace Church in Chester. Graveside service will follow at St. Mary's Cemetery in Chester, with Josh Uchtman officiating.

In lieu of customary remembrances, the family requests with gratitude that memorial contributions be made to Guidepost.

Crain Funeral Home and Cremation Service of Cape Girardeau has been entrusted with the arrangements.
