CHAFFEE, Mo. -- Norma J. Smith, 71, of Kansas, died Monday, Feb. 13, 2006, at her home. She was born Sept. 17, 1934, in Topeka, Kan., daughter of Louis and Opal McKinnley Klesath. She and Orville W. Smith were married April 2, 1949. He died Nov. 5, 2004...

CHAFFEE, Mo. -- Norma J. Smith, 71, of Kansas, died Monday, Feb. 13, 2006, at her home.

She was born Sept. 17, 1934, in Topeka, Kan., daughter of Louis and Opal McKinnley Klesath. She and Orville W. Smith were married April 2, 1949. He died Nov. 5, 2004.

Survivors include three sons, Dale, David and William of Topeka; three daughters, Glenda Kreipe and Linda Collins of Rossville, Kan., Karen Seyer of Chaffee; a sister, Mary Swanson of Clovis, N.M.; 20 grandchildren; and 26 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by two infant brothers.

The funeral will be at 1:30 p.m. Thursday at Mount Hope Cemetery in Topeka.
