Norma Lynette Janssen, 63, 2510 Jonquil, died Sunday, Sept. 17, 1995, at St. Francis Medical Center.
She was born Dec. 27, 1931, in Wilmington, Del., daughter of Stanley F. and Florence M. Johnston Beverage. She and John R. Janssen were married Nov. 7, 1964, in Belleville, Ill.
Janssen was reared in Belleville. She received a bachelor of science degree in education from Southern Illinois University at Carbondale in 1953. She was an elementary teacher in Illinois 12 years.
She had lived in Cape Girardeau since 1966. She was a member of St. Andrew Lutheran Church, Alpha Rho chapter of Beta Sigma Phi, and Volunteer Association of St. Francis Medical Center. She had been a volunteer at Southeast Missouri Hospital since 1980.
Survivors include her husband; a daughter, Tamara Janssen of Cape Girardeau; two brothers, Allan Beverage of Cincinnati, Ohio, Leland Beverage of Medfield, Mass., and three grandchildren.
Friends may call at Ford and Sons Mt. Auburn Chapel from 4:30-8 p.m. today. A Beta Sigma Phi service will be held at 4.
Funeral service will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at the chapel, with the Rev. Louis Launhardt officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park.
