Norma Joanne Hunt, 73, of Cape Girardeau, formerly of Sheffield, Alabama, died Sunday, April 26, 2015, at Southeast Hospital. She had lived in Cape Girardeau the past three years.
She was a 1959 graduate of DuPont High School in Charleston, West Virginia.
She was owner and operator of Hair Fashion by Joanne in Sheffield.
Joanne was born Sept. 18, 1941, in Moulton, Alabama, to Cecil and Vida Goodwin Garrison. She and Richard "Dick" McCoy Hunt were married Sept. 18, 1969. He died Dec. 5, 2001.
She was a loving mother, grandmother and friend to many. She was loved and brought joy to all and will be dearly missed.
Survivors include a daughter, Jodi White of Anderson, Alabama; a son, Marc Hunt and wife Beth of Jackson; and granddaughters, Sarah and Hannah Hunt.
She was preceded in death by her parents; stepfather, Edward Greene; infant son, Warren Miethe; and three stepbrothers, Dalton, Marlon, and Dwight Greene.
Visitation will be from 2 to 4 p.m. Thursday at Greenview Funeral Home in Florence, Alabama.
A graveside service will follow at 4 p.m. in Greenview Memorial Park, with the Rev. Pat Driskell officiating.
