PERRYVILLE, Mo. -- Norma M. Hawthorne, 83, of Perryville, died Saturday, Feb. 11, 2006, at Saint Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.
She was born Sept. 17, 1922, in Detroit, Mich., daughter of Hancel and Marjorie Overpack Harris. She and Thomas Thompson were married in October 1940, and he preceded her in death on Dec. 14, 1967. She and John Hawthorne were married on Sept. 7, 1962. He died on June 12, 2002.
Hawthorne was a member of the Whitewater Christian Church.
Survivors include a son, Norman Thompson of Coffman, Mo.; four daughters, Lucille Burnette of Perryville, Joyce Signorelli of St. Louis, Wanda Weber of Crosby, Texas and Linda Mueller of Coffman, Mo.; 10 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
She was preceded in death by a grandson, a sister, a half-sister and a half-brother.
Friends may call from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. today and from 6:30 a.m. to 8:30 a.m. Tuesday at Young and Sons Funeral Chapel in Perryville.
Funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Whitewater Christian Church with the Rev. Alan Martin officiating. Burial will be in Whitewater Christian Church Cemetery.
