NORMA FORBIS

SIKESTON -- Norma Alberta Forbis, 74, of Universal City, Texas, formerly of Sikeston, died Sunday, Nov. 16, 1997, at Universal City, Texas.

She was born April 28, 1923, at Henry County, Mo., the daughter of Joseph Albert and Iva Martin Paxton.

She married Lloyd Forbis on Oct.15, 1944, at St. Johns. He preceded her in death in July 1992.

She had been a teacher for 18 years with the Sikeston public school system and retired in 1980. She was a member of the First Christian Church and the Missouri Retired Teachers Association.

She is survived by two sons, Dale Forbis of Mission, Kan., and Carl Forbis of Universal City, Texas.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Visitation will be today from 4 to 8 p.m. at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Sikeston.

Service will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home with the Rev. Ed Pangborn officiating. Burial will be in Forest Hills Cemetery at Morley.
