Norma Louise Estes, 82, of Scott City passed away peacefully the morning of Saturday, Feb. 13, 2016, in her home and joined the angels in heaven.
Norma was born Nov. 30, 1933 in Ancell, the daughter of Elva and Martha Ellen Lampkins Brant. She married Donald Estes on Sept. 15, 1980, and he passed away Feb. 22, 2011.
Norma's unwavering strength came from the unity of her family and her unconditional love for them. Some of her favorite things included angels, family traditions and Christmas. Every year she had to have a big tree and lots of presents for her loved ones, especially the babies.
Norma is survived by two daughters, JoEllen (Larry) Calhoun of Scott City and Debbie (Scott) Graham of Jackson; a son, Tracey (Elaine) Estes of Scott City; nine grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandson.
Norma was preceded in death by a son, Johnny Kelley; a daughter, Cheryl Talley; a granddaughter, Brittany Jo Calhoun; three brothers; and a sister.
Friends may call from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Tuesday at Amick-Burnett Funeral Home in Scott City.
The funeral service will be 1 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home, with Mark Fisher officiating. Interment will be in Lightner Memorial Cemetery at Scott City.
