Norbert Theodore Foster, 98, died Monday, Sept. 26, 2005, at the Lutheran Home, where he had lived several years.
He was born Feb. 12, 1907, at Ardeola, Mo., son of Franklin Pierce and Martha Ellen McQueen Foster.
His family moved to Cape Girardeau, where he attended the old Lorimier School, Central High School and Southeast Missouri State University.
He and Dorthy Ellen Mercer were married in 1930 in Kansas City, Mo. She died in 1985.
He worked for Swift and Co. several years and was later affiliated with General Electric. He was in sales and sales training, living in several states and retiring in Houston, Texas.
Foster returned to Cape Girardeau in 1987 and was a member of First Baptist Church.
Survivors include a sister, Martha Lou McGinty of Cape Girardeau.
He was preceded in death by three brothers and three sisters.
A private graveside service for the family will be held, with the Rev. Mike Shupert officiating.
Ford and Sons Mount Auburn Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
