DEXTER, Mo. -- Nora Jackson, 87, of Dexter died Friday, Jan. 19, 2001, at Pine Lawn Residential Care Center in Puxico.
Jackson was born July 13, 1913, in Puxico, daughter of Walter Daniel Shrum and Mittie Wren Shrum. She and Lon Jackson were married Nov. 26, 1938, in Bloomfield, Mo. He died July 2, 1995.
She was a member of the Liberty Hill General Baptist Church in Aid, Mo.
Survivors include one son, Ben Shrum of Owasso, Mich.; two stepsons, Gerald and Farrell Jackson of Dexter; two stepdaughters, Geraldine Pelat of Summerfield, Fla., and Pauline Kotoff of St. Charles, Mo.; three sisters, Bernice Parks and Dorthy Link of Bloomfield and Nellie Wampler of Cologne, Ill.; four grandchildren; six stepgrandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and 16 stepgreat-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by two stepgrandchildren, two brothers and one sister.
Friends may call from 5-7 p.m. today at Rainey Funeral Home in Dexter.
Funeral will be at 2 p.m Monday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Frank Bain officiating. Burial will be in Hagy Cemetery.
