DEXTER, Mo. -- A memorial service for Nondes D. Busby of Dexter will be held at 2 p.m. today at First United Methodist Church.

Busby, 85, died Thursday, Oct. 25, 2001, at Beverly Health Rehabilitation Center in Dexter.

She was born Dec. 16, 1915, in East Prairie, Mo., daughter of Walter Pitman and Ora Thomas. She and Lowrie "L.T." Busby were married Oct. 23, 1934, in Piggott, Ark. He died June 26, 1997.

Busby was owner of Busby Realty, and a member of First United Methodist Church.

Survivors include a son, Leon Busby of Rancho Palos Verdes, Calif.; three grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by two brothers and a sister.
