Nona Bell Thoma, 83, of Cape Girardeau, died Thursday, June 13, 1991, at Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau. She was born March 2, 1908 in Bollinger County, daughter of Daniel and Radie Newell Lincoln. She married William Les Welker in 1930 at Chaffee. He died May 2, 1953. She then married John Thoma in September, 1954. He died Feb. 13, 1984...

Nona Bell Thoma, 83, of Cape Girardeau, died Thursday, June 13, 1991, at Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau.

She was born March 2, 1908 in Bollinger County, daughter of Daniel and Radie Newell Lincoln.

She married William Les Welker in 1930 at Chaffee. He died May 2, 1953. She then married John Thoma in September, 1954. He died Feb. 13, 1984.

She was a lifetime resident of Southeast Missouri and was of the Baptist faith.

Survivors are four daughters, Esther Moss, Cape Girardeau; Hester Glueck, Chaffee; Sue Hink, Scott City; and Bonnie Engelmann, Cape Girardeau; 15 grandchildren and 34 great-grandchildren.

Five sons, four daughters and two brothers proceeded her in death.

Service will be today at 1:30 p.m. at Ford & Sons Sprigg Street Chapel. The Rev. David Conley will officiate. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation was held Saturday.
