MARBLE HILL -- Nola E. Huskey, 108, of Marble Hill, died Wednesday, March 6, 1996, at Rest Haven Christian Home in Palos Heights, Ill.
She was born Nov. 29, 1887, near Marquand, daughter of the Rev. E.A. and Jane Mouser Murry. She and Thomas H. Huskey Sr. were married in April 1914. He died Dec. 4, 1963.
Huskey graduated from Will Mayfield Academy in 1912, and from Will Mayfield College in 1926. Beginning in 1907, she taught many years in rural public schools.
She attended Harmony Congregational Methodist Church, and was a member of Hog Creek Homemakers Club and Bollinger County Historical Society.
Survivors include a son, Herbert Huskey of Palos Park, Ill.; a daughter, Violet Rowe of Orland Park, Ill.; five grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren, and five great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by three sons, two brothers, two sisters and a grandson.
Friends may call at Liley Funeral Home in Marble Hill from 3-8 p.m. Saturday, and after noon Sunday at Harmony Church.
Funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Sunday at the church. Burial will be in Lessley Cemetery.
