Noble Bollinger

Noble Elgin Bollinger, son of the late Dan and Ella Pritchett Bollinger, was born at Bell City, Mo., Jan 3, 1927, and passed away at his home near Swinton, Mo., Monday, March 19, 2007, at the age of 80 years.

Mr. Bollinger retired as a truck driver for Wetterau Wholesale in Hazelwood, Mo., in 1988 after 38 years of service.

He very much enjoyed farming, raising cattle and spending time with his family. On July 21, 1958, he was married to Melissa May Cooley. She preceded him in death June 1, 1982.

Survivors include nine children, Jerry Bollinger of Gerald, Mo., Roger "Butch" and Sheila Bollinger of Florissant, Mo., Jason and Hiliary Pyle Bollinger of Advance, Mo., Doris and Tom Bayer of Festus, Mo., Debbie Atkins of Maryland Heights, Mo., Janice and Ritch Powell of Gerald, Tammy and Pete Bradshaw Snyder of Pekin, Ill., Melissa and Mike Houston of New Haven, Mo., Tina and Kenny Sadler of St. Peters, Mo.; a brother and sister-in-law, Tony and Pat Bollinger of Cape Girardeau; a sister and brother-in-law, Norma Jean and Paul Huhn of Cape Girardeau; 20 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; other relatives and many friends survive to mourn his passing.

Besides his wife and parents he was preceded in death by a sister, Reva Riddle.

Friends may call at Chiles-Cooper Funeral Home in Bloomfield from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday.

The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home, with Curtis Powell officiating. Burial will follow in Walker Cemetery at Bloomfield.
