Newton J. Foust, 85, Gordonville Route 3, died Wednesday, Sept. 25, 1991, at the Lutheran Home.
He was born April 7, 1906, in Pottawatami County, Okla., son of Calvin and Maude Caskey Foust. He and Bessie Hilton were married June 18, 1926, in Oilton, Okla. She died in 1977. Foust later married Lucy Scott in August 1979, in Amarillo, Texas.
Foust was a member of the Church of Christ in Scott City, and Marion Masonic Lodge 130 in Salem, Ill.
Survivors include a son, Jack Foust of Gordonville; a daughter, Sherri Strunk of Gordonville; a brother, Jesse Foust of Kingsville, Texas; a sister, Eula Howard of Oklahoma City, Okla.; five grandchildren, and nine great-grandchildren.
Funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Ford and Sons Mt. Auburn Chapel, with the Rev. Brian Lowery officiating. Burial will be at 2 p.m. in Paradise Cemetery at Salem.
Friends may call at the funeral home from 6-8 p.m. today.
