Funeral for Nelson Dale King of Cape Girardeau will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday at Cracraft-Miller Funeral Home in Jackson. The Revs. Jimmy Winfrey, Jimmy Merity and Howard McGee will officiate. Burial will be in Russell Heights Cemetery at Jackson.
Friends may call at the funeral home Saturday from 9 a.m. until service time.
King, 69, died Monday, July 19, 1999, at his home.
He was born Feb. 4, 1930, at Jackson, son of Robert R. and Louise Carrie Lacey King. He and Velma Miles were married Feb. 1, 1980, at Sikeston.
King was a service technician 24 years at Sears, retiring in 1989. He was a member of St. John's AME Church and VFW Post 3838. He was a veteran of the Korean War.
Survivors include his wife; two sons, Nelson King Jr. of Cape Girardeau, William King of St. Louis; two daughters, Edythe King of St. Louis, Stacey King of Cape Girardeau; a sister, Dorothy Pettit of Cape Girardeau; and six grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by two brothers.
