She was born Aug. 13, 1930, in Morley, Missouri, to the late Thomas and Myrtle Cruse Jackson. She married George Sanders on Dec. 12, 1948, and he preceded her in death April 5, 1994...

CHAFFEE, Mo. -- Nellie Frances Sanders, 88, of Chaffee passed away Tuesday, Feb. 19, 2019, at Lutheran Home in Cape Girardeau.

She was born Aug. 13, 1930, in Morley, Missouri, to the late Thomas and Myrtle Cruse Jackson. She married George Sanders on Dec. 12, 1948, and he preceded her in death April 5, 1994.

Nellie was a homemaker. She was a member of Bethany Baptist Church in Cape Girardeau. She loved St. Louis Cardinals baseball, University of Kentucky basketball, crocheting and cooking.

She is survived by two sons, Wade (Laura) Sanders of Leopold, Missouri, and Doug (Desire') Sanders of Arlington, Texas; two daughters, Gloria (Stan) Ransom of Fenton, Missouri, and Sharon (Bill) Coleman of Fort Meyers, Florida; three sisters, Dorothy Bryeans of Morley, Betty (Charles) Lentz of Wappapello, Missouri, and Janice (Steve) Hilleman of Benton, Missouri; 10 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren, with one on the way; and two great-great-grandchildren.

She was also preceded in death by three brothers and two sisters.

Friends may call from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Scott City.

Funeral will be at 1 p.m. Friday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Kenneth Johnson officiating. Burial will be at Oakdale Cemetery in Commerce, Missouri.
