WYATT -- Nellie Lee Gregory, 88, formerly of Wyatt, died Tuesday, April 12, 1994, at Charleston Manor.
She was born Nov. 21, 1905, in Mississippi County, daughter of Ira and Maud Raynor. She married Jeff Usher Lay, who died in 1948. She later married Charles Gregory, who died in 1955.
Gregory had been a cook at area schools for a number of years. She was a member of First General Baptist Church in Charleston.
Survivors include a daughter, Mary Goodall of Granite City, Ill.; two stepdaughters, Isadora "Billie" Harper of Bertrand, Virginia Dixon of Peoria, Ill.; three sisters, Laura Smith of Clarksdale, Miss., Helen Milner of Cairo, Shirley Hammett of Wickliffe, Ky.; three grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; a great-great-granddaughter; eight stepgrandchildren; 19 great-stepgrandchildren, and 10 great-great-stepgrandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a son and two stepsons.
Friends may call at McMikle Funeral Home in Charleston after 4:30 p.m. Thursday.
Funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Friday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Bill Meeks officiating. Burial will be in IOOF Cemetery.
