Nelda Jean Hamilton, 82, of Jackson passed away Monday, March 29, 2021, at the Lutheran Home in Cape Girardeau.
She was born Jan. 7, 1939, in Jackson to Tony and Mabel Hahs Friese. She and Carl Hamilton were married March 31, 1979, in Millersville. They had been married 36 years when he passed away May 19, 2015.
Nelda was a member of Millersville United Methodist Church. She worked many years at Lenco in Jackson. She enjoyed crafting, sewing and celebrating special occasions with her lifelong friends.
Loving survivors include Kirby (Clara) Friese of Jackson and Jerry (Debby) Friese of Scott City; seven nieces; five nephews; and several great-nieces and great-nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband; two sisters, Verna Lee (Linus) Crites and Carolyn (Charlie) Daniel; and her parents.
Visitation is from 10 to 11 a.m. Friday at McCombs Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Jackson.
The Rev. Janet Hopkins will officiate the funeral at 11 a.m. Friday at the funeral home and burial will follow at New Salem United Methodist Cemetery in Daisy.
Memorials may take the form of contributions to New Salem Cemetery Fund.
