NEW ATHENS, Ill. -- Nelda Ernestine Craft, 64, of New Athens died Friday, Dec. 20, 1996, at Missouri Baptist Hospital in St. Louis.
She was born Aug. 28, 1932, at Cape Girardeau to Leo E. and Frieda Maag Nussbaum.
In November 1953, she married Billy J. Craft, who died Aug. 25, 1979.
She was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church in New Athens.
Survivors include three sons, Joe Craft and Thad Craft, both of New Athens, and Danny Craft of Marissa, Ill.; three brothers, Rudy Nussbaum of Whitewater, Robert Nussbaum of Jackson and Truman "Butch" Nussbaum of Chaffee; and eight sisters, Dorothy Latko of St. Louis, Gladys Kraemer of St. Charles, Viola Sandler of Whitewater, Colleen Weisenborn of Friedheim, Lora Henk of Marble Hill and Vanita Hoyt, Joan Burns and Fay Amelunke, all of Jackson; and four grandchildren.
Visitation is today from 4 to 8 p.m. at McCombs Funeral Home in Jackson. Service will be at 1 p.m. Monday at the funeral home, with the Rev. John Lukomski officiating. Burial will follow in Russell Heights Cemetery in Jackson.
