THEBES, Ill. -- Nelda R. Clark, 78, of Thebes died Wednesday, Feb. 26, 2003, at her home. She was born Jan. 9, 1925, daughter of J.W. and Clella Poole Pippinger. She and Ray S. Clark were married Nov. 18, 1944. He died May 29, 1982. Clark was a member of Rock Springs Free Will Baptist Church...

THEBES, Ill. -- Nelda R. Clark, 78, of Thebes died Wednesday, Feb. 26, 2003, at her home.

She was born Jan. 9, 1925, daughter of J.W. and Clella Poole Pippinger. She and Ray S. Clark were married Nov. 18, 1944. He died May 29, 1982.

Clark was a member of Rock Springs Free Will Baptist Church.

Survivors include three daughters, Nelda Kirby and Norma Robbins of Thebes, Mary Grace of Tamms; two sons, Dennis Clark of Olmsted, Ill., Eddie Clark of Olive Branch, Ill.; a brother, Gary Pippinger of Arnold, Mo.; a sister, Peggy Sinopole of Arnold; 13 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother.

Friends may call at Crain Funeral Home in Tamms, Ill., after 11 a.m. today.

The funeral will be at 1 p.m. today at the funeral home, with the Rev. John Montgomery officiating. Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery at Thebes.
