Natalie Suzanne Myers Goyette, 44, of Oak Ridge passed away Sunday, March 13, 2016, at Jackson Manor Nursing Home in Jackson. She was born Dec. 17, 1971, in Cape Girardeau to Dale and Judith Daume Myers. Natalie was an active member of Emanuel United Church of Christ in Jackson, where she was baptized March 5, 1972, and was instrumental in establishing "Kids Who Care."...

Natalie Suzanne Myers Goyette, 44, of Oak Ridge passed away Sunday, March 13, 2016, at Jackson Manor Nursing Home in Jackson.

She was born Dec. 17, 1971, in Cape Girardeau to Dale and Judith Daume Myers.

Natalie was an active member of Emanuel United Church of Christ in Jackson, where she was baptized March 5, 1972, and was instrumental in establishing "Kids Who Care."

She was a graduate of Jackson High School and the University of Missouri-Columbia.

Natalie's interest in art started at a very young age. She began taking private art lessons when she was only 5 years old. After graduating from college, she worked at the St. Louis Art Museum. Upon returning to Jackson, she worked at Kies Eye Center in Cape Girardeau, did freelance art from home and was a member of the adult art group in Jackson.

She was an outgoing, loving, caring person, who will be missed by many. Of utmost importance to her was being a good mom to her only child, Will.

Loving survivors include her parents, Dale and Judith Myers of Oak Ridge; a son, Will Goyette of Colorado Springs, Colorado; and two siblings, Brian (Tonya) Myers and children Dustin, Kali and Brynn of Oak Ridge, and Julie (Ben) Davis and sons Jack and Kevin of Farmington, Missouri. She also is survived by beloved uncles, aunts and their families: Richard (Jane) Daume of Phoenix, Vernon (Ethel) Daume and Joyce (Wayne) Bock of Oak Ridge, Jean (Kent) Puchbauer, Mary (Harold) Robinson and Ruth (Larry) Barks of Jackson, Gene (Jeanie) Myers of Eureka, Missouri, Bill (Greta) Myers of Willow Springs, Missouri, and the family of the late Don Myers; and many great-uncles, great-aunts, dear friends and a very special physician, Dr. Thomas (Carol) Sparkman of Cape Girardeau.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Paul and Hester Myers and Charles and Marie Daume; and an uncle, Don Myers.

The Revs. Sam Roethemeyer and Joe Rowley officiated at a private funeral at McCombs Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Jackson. Burial was private at Old Goshen Cemetery near Oak Ridge.

Memorials may take the form of contributions to the Memorial Fund of Emanuel United Church of Christ in Jackson or Old Goshen Cemetery.
