DEXTER -- Funeral service for Naomi L. Reaves of Dexter was held Monday at Watkins and Sons Funeral Chapel here. Herman Morse officiated, with burial in Hagy Cemetery at Dexter.
Reaves, 72, died Saturday, Aug. 27, 1994, at Dexter Memorial Hospital.
She was born May 17, 1922, at Morehouse, daughter of Thomas Henry and Edna Estelle Brack Gromer. She first married Frank Payne, who died in 1945. She and Lawrence "Boots" Reaves were married Oct. 5, 1946. He died Dec. 24, 1980.
Reaves was retired from Elder Manufacturing Co. at Bloomfield, and was a member of Essex Church of Christ.
Survivors include three sons, Don Payne of Olive Branch, Miss., Harold Reaves of Seneca, Roy Reaves of Dexter; a daughter, Ruth Warren of Salem; two brothers, Thomas Gromer of Belleville, Ill., John Gromer of Pontiac, Mich.; four sisters, Stella Absher of Rayeville, La., Mary Kinder of Dexter, Bea Pullum of Bloomfield, Dorothy Lewis of Bell City; 16 grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a brother.
