Nancy Sue Stinson, 66, of Jackson passed away Monday, June 22, 2009, at Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau.
She was born Dec. 1, 1942, in Vinita, Okla., daughter of Paul and Amanda Rogers George. She and John W. Stinson were married May 28, 1965, in Miami, Okla.
Nancy graduated from Welch High School in Welch, Okla., in 1960. She worked for the former P.N. Hirsch Co. and Sears-Roebuck in St. Louis, Holiday Inn in Cape Girardeau and the former Wille's Bakery in Jackson. She was a member of Open Door Baptist Church in Overland, Mo.
Nancy enjoyed country western concerts and crafts, especially cross-stitch.
Loving survivors include her husband of 44 years; a son, Jerry Stinson of St. Charles, Mo.; three daughters, Johna (Timothy) Toedebusch of St. Charles, Amanda (Jason) Elsperman of Jackson, Mary Stinson of Jackson; a son-in-law, Kevin Bolen of Jackson; and eight grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a daughter, Terri Bolen, in 1997.
Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday at McCombs Funeral Home in Jackson.
The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Friday at the funeral home, with Jerry Ward officiating. Interment will be in Russell Heights Cemetery in Jackson.
