Nancy Jane Renfrow, 84, of Cape Girardeau passed away Thursday, Nov. 4, 2015, at Saint Francis Medical Center. Mrs. Renfrow was born Dec. 13, 1930, in Crystal City, Missouri, to the late Walter Roy and Letha Mitts Drissell. She and Robert Kelso Renfrow were married June 24, 1950. Nancy Jane Renfrow, 84, of Cape Girardeau passed away Thursday, Nov. 4, 2015, at Saint Francis Medical Center.

Mrs. Renfrow was born Dec. 13, 1930, in Crystal City, Missouri, to the late Walter Roy and Letha Mitts Drissell. She and Robert Kelso Renfrow were married June 24, 1950. He preceded her in death in 1987.

Mrs. Renfrow was a member of Abbey Road Christian Church, which she was very active in. After receiving a B.S. in education and a B.A. in chemistry from Southeast Missouri State University, she taught in the Cape Girardeau public schools for four years. She later worked as the office manager at the Community Counseling Center, retiring after 27 years. For many years she also was involved with the PTA, the Garden Club, the Bridge Club and the Boy Scouts as a den mother. A favorite place of hers to be was on the water, where she taught skiing and loved to sail.

Survivors include her son, Douglas Kelso (Lisa) Renfrow of Houston; four grandchildren, Scott Renfrow, Brandi (Brian) Lee, all of Houston, Nancy (Darrell) Gutiereze of Nixa, Missouri, and Sam (Bethel) Renfrow of San Diego; and three great-grandchildren, Cameron and Nathan Renfrow and Taylor Gutiereze.

Along with her husband and parents, she also was preceded in death by her son Kevin Alan Renfrow and a brother, Brian Drissell.

Visitation will be from 9 a.m. until time of service Saturday at Ford and Sons Funeral Mount Auburn Home in Cape Girardeau.

A memorial service will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Ronald Roulodge officiating. Inurnment will be at Cape County Memorial Park.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Abbey Road Christian Church.
