Nancy Elizabeth Lovinggood, 78, of Cape Girardeau died Wednesday, Nov. 23, 2005, at Chateau Girardeau Health Center, with her family at her side. She was born Sept. 8, 1927, in Philadelphia, Miss., daughter of Henry and Reba Wood Bridges. She and Dr. Thomas A. Lovinggood were married Nov. 25, 1950, in Philadelphia...

Nancy Elizabeth Lovinggood, 78, of Cape Girardeau died Wednesday, Nov. 23, 2005, at Chateau Girardeau Health Center, with her family at her side.

She was born Sept. 8, 1927, in Philadelphia, Miss., daughter of Henry and Reba Wood Bridges. She and Dr. Thomas A. Lovinggood were married Nov. 25, 1950, in Philadelphia.

Mrs. Lovinggood graduated from Mississippi University for Women. She was a member of and volunteer at First Presbyterian Church. She was a member of Southeast Missouri Hospital Auxiliary, Ladies Golf League at Cape Girardeau Country Club, and P.E.O.

Survivors include her husband; three sons and daughters-in-law, Dr. Thomas and Marla Lovinggood Jr. of Lees Summit, Mo., Dr. Perry and Molly Lovinggood of St. Louis, Robert and George Anne Lovinggood of New Orleans; two daughters and sons-in-law, Susan and Joel Martin of Franklin, Mass., Barbara and Robert Miller of Lees Summit; a sister, Betty Harrison of Philadelphia; and 11 grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother.

Friends may call at Ford and Sons Mount Auburn Funeral Home from 1 to 2 p.m. Saturday.

The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home, with The Rev. Paul Kabo Jr. officiating. Private burial will be in Cape County Memorial Park.

Memorials may be made to First Presbyterian Church.
