Nancy Arlene Lindemuth Laster, 98, passed away Tuesday, April 23, 2024, after a 10-year battle with peripheral artery disease.

Born on a snowy Easter morning to Laurence and Adaline Lindemuth, she grew up in Topeka, Kansas, enjoying a close-knit neighborhood of friends.

She began singing at 12, and it brought her great happiness to sing in a church choir wherever she lived.

In 1948, she married Air Force Capt. Tom Laster from Des Moines, Iowa, never expecting the wonderful life they would have in and out of the service, living all over the Midwest and making lifelong friends wherever they were.

A gracious hostess, Nancy had an unassuming way about her, a clever wit, a charming style and a beautiful soul. She was an adored wife, mother, grandmother and aunt. She was our joy.

Funeral will be at 11 a.m. Monday, April 29, at Centenary Methodist Church in Cape Girardeau, with the Rev. Carl Palmer officiating. Entombment will be at a later date.

Memorial contributions may be given to Centenary Methodist Church, 300 N. Ellis St., Cape Girardeau, MO 63701, for the church choir.
