Nancy Duschell

Nancy Lee Duschell, 62, of Cape Girardeau died Sunday, Dec. 7, 2008, at Saint Francis Medical Center.

She was born June 4, 1946, in Cape Girardeau, daughter of Dwight and Virginia Langston Dodson. She and Brad Duschell were married Oct. 29, 1967, at Ironton, Mo.

Duschell was a member of Grace United Methodist Church in Cape Girardeau. She was a registered nurse at Saint Francis Medical Center before becoming owner/operator of Duschell Furniture Store in Scott City and Cape Girardeau.

She was a true friend and mother to all who knew and loved her. She will be truly missed.

Survivors include a son, Marcus Duschell of St. Louis; a daughter, Heather Duschell of Cape Girardeau; two nieces, Kim Proffer and Sarah Komorech.

She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Robert Dodson.

A private visitation for family and close friends will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Ford and Sons Mount Auburn Funeral Home.

A memorial service will be at 10 a.m. Friday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Scott Moon officiating.
