VANDUSER -- Nan Theiss, 96, of Vanduser, died Thursday, March 31, 1994, at Miner Nursing Center.

She was born July 2, 1897, in Owensboro, Ky., daughter of Louis and Ammy Gilliland Wornica. She and Jack Theiss were married in 1924. He preceded her in death.

Theiss had been a telephone operator with Western Electric in St. Louis.

Survivors include a brother, Lester Warnecke of Bell City.

She was preceded in death by three brothers and three sisters.

Friends may call at Ponder Funeral Home in Sikeston from 5-7 p.m. today.

Funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Charles Tope officiating. Burial will be in New Morley Cemetery at Morley.
