ADVANCE, Mo. -- Naidene Marie Sherman, 71, of Advance died Friday, Dec. 19, 2003, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.
She was born Oct. 18, 1932, at Brownwood, Mo., daughter of Fred and Violet Black Phelps. She and Bill Sherman were married Sept. 30, 1950, in Pocha, Ark. He died Feb. 8, 1992.
Sherman was a graduate of Advance High School. She was a receptionist three years at Morgan Funeral Home and was a member of Advance First Baptist Church.
Survivors include two sons, the Rev. Brad Sherman of Iowa City, Iowa, Matt Sherman of Advance; a daughter, Cindy Corse of Independence, Mo.; three sisters, Pauline Schwarz of Naples, Fla., Minnie Meeker of Nixa, Mo., Patsy Puchbauer of Cape Girardeau; nine grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, a brother and a sister.
Friends may call at Morgan Funeral Home from 5 to 8 p.m. Sunday.
The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Monday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Brad Sherman officiating. Burial will be in Morgan Memorial Park.
