Nadine Crowden, 82, of Delta passed away Tuesday, Sept. 27, 2016, at Southeast Hospital in Cape Girardeau. She was born Aug. 27, 1934, in Leemon, Missouri, to the late Floy Ellis and Zona Agnes Hodge King. She married Carol Leon Crowden on Dec. 3, 1955, and he preceded her in death July 17, 2002...

Nadine Crowden, 82, of Delta passed away Tuesday, Sept. 27, 2016, at Southeast Hospital in Cape Girardeau.

She was born Aug. 27, 1934, in Leemon, Missouri, to the late Floy Ellis and Zona Agnes Hodge King. She married Carol Leon Crowden on Dec. 3, 1955, and he preceded her in death July 17, 2002.

Nadine retired from the cutting office department of Thorngate Ltd., formerly known as Buckstein's, in Chaffee, Missouri.

Survivors include two daughters, Peggy (Ronald Kiefer) Steimle of Delta and Stefanie (Bryan) Uhrhan of Chaffee; three brothers, Charles King of Delta, Louie King of Cape Girardeau and Dayton King of Delta; two sisters, Donna Yarbro of Cape Girardeau and Kathryn Anthony of Oran, Missouri; seven grandchildren, Brian (Michelle) Steimle, Karen (Brian) Kilburn, Keith (Susan Dunning) Steimle, Derrick (Whitney) Uhrhan, Bradley (Crysten) Uhrhan, Adam (Kristin) Uhrhan and Chondra (Brett Jansen) Uhrhan; and 10 great-grandchildren, Kailey, Brooke and Brian Kilburn Jr., Addison Uhrhan, Emorie Jansen, Jensen Uhrhan, Alisha and Shantel Hendrix, Jordan Kinder and Aaron Criddle.

She also was preceded in death by a sister and four brothers.

Friends may call after 4 p.m. today at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Chaffee.

The funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Friday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Ed Rhodes officiating. Burial will be at Kenyon Cemetery at Delta.
