MARQUAND -- Myrtle Mae Starkey, 84, of Marquand died Saturday, Jan. 20, 1996, at the Madison Memorial Hospital in Fredericktown.
She was born Nov. 6, 1911, at Marquand, daughter of Robert and Dovie Bollinger Cureton. She and Dolph Starkey were married. He survives.
Starkey was a member of the Cornwall Assembly of God Church.
Also surviving are four sons, Luther David Starkey of Mine LaMotte, Sherman Floyd Starkey of Hooker, Okla., Billy Ray Starkey of Marquand and Charles Jack Starkey of Sedgewickville; five daughters, Bonnie Ruth Stanfield of Bloomfield, Mona Mae Sliger of Arnold, Phylise Catherine Paine of Montone, Calif., Audrey Faye Wadlow of Fredericktown and Flossie Marie Royal of Marquand; a sister, Virgie Bess of Marquand; 35 grandchildren; 76 great-grandchildren; and 25 great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a son, four brothers and two sisters.
Friends may call at Liley Funeral Home in Patton from 4-8 p.m. Monday.
Funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. The Rev. Carl Cureton will officiate, with burial in the Pine Union Cemetery near Marquand.
