BLOOMFIELD, Mo. -- Myrtle Marie Floyd, 87, of Bloomfield died Thursday, Aug. 24, 2000, at her home.
She was born Sept. 30, 1912, at Matthews, Mo., daughter of Jack and Minnie Breece Dean. She and Clarence Floyd were married Oct. 18, 1929. He died Nov. 18, 1983.
Floyd lived at Dexter, Mo., before moving to Bloomfield. She was a member of Beech Grove General Baptist Church in Avert, Mo., and later attended Walker General Baptist Church near Bloomfield.
Survivors include a son, Sonny Floyd of Fenton, Mo.; four daughters, Eva Dixon of Dupo, Ill., Evelyn Crump of Bloomfield, Nadine Swope of Dexter, Judy Brown of Sullivan, Mo.; a sister, Nellie Ayers of Bloomfield; 20 grandchildren; 34 great-grandchildren; and 13 great-great-grandchildren.
Friends may call at Watkins and Sons Funeral Home in Dexter from 5-8 p.m. today.
Funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home. The Rev. Bill Pennington will officiate. Burial will be in Hagy Cemetery at Dexter.
