TAMMS, Ill. -- Myrtha C. Dodd, 92, of Tamms died Monday, Sept. 20, 1999, at her home. She was born Jan. 6, 1907, in Decatur County, Tenn., daughter of John A. and Rosa Tucker Brasher. She married Raphel "Jack" Dodd, who died in January 1981. Dodd had been a photographer and photo processer in Parsons, Tenn., was a multigraph operator at Tamms Industries, worked in the cafeteria at Tamms High School, was a receptionist 21 years at Farnsworth Funeral Home in Tamms, and was a receptionist with Jones Funeral Homes in Tamms and Villa Ridge from 1981 until becoming ill recently.. ...

TAMMS, Ill. -- Myrtha C. Dodd, 92, of Tamms died Monday, Sept. 20, 1999, at her home.

She was born Jan. 6, 1907, in Decatur County, Tenn., daughter of John A. and Rosa Tucker Brasher. She married Raphel "Jack" Dodd, who died in January 1981.

Dodd had been a photographer and photo processer in Parsons, Tenn., was a multigraph operator at Tamms Industries, worked in the cafeteria at Tamms High School, was a receptionist 21 years at Farnsworth Funeral Home in Tamms, and was a receptionist with Jones Funeral Homes in Tamms and Villa Ridge from 1981 until becoming ill recently.

She was a member of Elco Baptist Church, and was a nursery teacher more than 30 years at First Baptist Church in Tamms.

Survivors include two daughters, Wilma Bridges of Tamms, Imogene Dodson of Indianapolis, Ind.; five grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by five brothers, a sister, and a great-grandson.

Friends may call at Jones Funeral Home in Tamms after 4 p.m. Wednesday.

Funeral will be at 1 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. The Revs. Buddy Walls, Jay Franklin and P.L. Montgomery will officiate. Burial will be in St. John's Cemetery near Dongola.
