CAIRO, Ill. -- Murray V. Bryant, 83, of Cairo, died Monday, Dec. 4, 1995, at his home. He was born April 27, 1912, in Brookport, Ill., son of Jesse and Nell Wise Bryant. CAIRO, Ill. -- Murray V. Bryant, 83, of Cairo, died Monday, Dec. 4, 1995, at his home.

He was born April 27, 1912, in Brookport, Ill., son of Jesse and Nell Wise Bryant.

Bryant had been a bartender in several hotels and country clubs before retiring. He was a member of First United Methodist Church and Cairo Elks Lodge 651.

Survivors include his wife, Ruth; a daughter, Kay Routh of Murray; a brother, Blaine Bryant of Cairo; two grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren.

Funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Barkett Funeral Home in Cairo. The Rev. Kelly Cox will officiate, with burial in Green Lawn Memorial Gardens at Villa Ridge.

Friends may call at the funeral home from 10:30 a.m. to service time.
