MILLCREEK, Ill. -- Funeral for Murray E. DeWitt of Millcreek will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at Hileman and Parr Funeral Home in Jonesboro, Ill. Burial will be in St. John's Cemetery.
Friends may call at the funeral home from 6-8 p.m. today.
DeWitt, 96, died Monday, April 2, 2001, at City Care Center in Cobden, Ill.
She was born Oct. 4, 1904, at Millcreek, daughter of Seth and Maggie Alela Dillow Miller. She and James DeWitt were married Nov. 6, 1921, in Cairo, Ill. He died Feb. 6, 1976.
DeWitt attended Millcreek Baptist Church, and was a member of Royal Neighbors of America.
Survivors include two sons, Gilbert DeWitt of Chana, Ill., Carl DeWitt of Cobden; five grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.
