CAPE GIRARDEAU -- Service for Mrs. Ruth I. Rickard will be held Monday at 1:30 p.m. Ford & Sons Funeral Home, Mt. Auburn Road, with Rev. Jim Dace officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park.
Friends may call at the funeral home on Mt. Auburn Road from 4 to 8 p.m. today.
Rickard, 76 years old of 1800 N. West End Blvd., died Friday, Feb. 22, 1991 at Southeast Missouri Hospital.
She was born April 19, 1914, at Alton, Mo., daughter of Mason and Fannie Sifford Minnich.
She married Otis Brennan on Sept. 1934 at Fredericktown. He preceded her in death Feb. 3, 1977.
She then married Melvin Rickard on June 9, 1979, in Cape Girardeau. He survives.
Other survivors include a son, Ronald D. Brennan of Fulton, Mo.; a step son, David Rickard of Orange, Calif.; a step daughter, Mrs. David Erlbacher; two sisters, Mrs. Christine Haman and Mrs. Pauline Ranney both of Cape Girardeau; and six grandchildren
She was preceded in death by two brothers and four sisters.
She worked at International Shoe and Werner's Grocery before retiring.
She was a member of Maple Avenue United Methodist Church; The United Methodist Women and the Entree New Club.
