BURFORDVILLE -- Funeral service for Mrs. Opal Hahn of Burfordville will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at McCombs Funeral Home in Jackson.
The Rev. Bill Ross will officiate and burial will be in Russell Heights Cemetery in Jackson.
Mrs. Hahn died Thursday morning at her home. She was 82.
She was born Sept. 26, 1908 in the community of Herricane in Bollinger County, the daughter of Dellon and Nellie Conder Brown. On Nov. 13, 1926 she married Joe Hahn, who preceded her in death Oct. 25, 1986.
Mrs. Hahn lived on the family farm near Burfordville for the past 48 years, and, since 1986, was a member of the Harmony Congregational Methodist Church at Marble Hill. She previously was a member of the Burfordville Baptist Church for many years.
Mrs. Hahn also formerly worked at the International Shoe Factory in Jackson.
Survivors include a daughter, Wanda Wilfong of rural Jackson; three brothers, Shelby and Paul Brown of Jackson, and Bill Brown of North Carolina; and seven sisters, Orpha Marshall of Burfordville, Lillian Hahn of Jackson, Jessie Quady of Burfordville, Essie Abernathy of Wood River, Ill., Beatrice Welker of East Alton, Ill., and Oleta Yamnitz and Idell Dockins, both of Jackson.
She was preceded in death by two brothers and a sister.
Visitation was from 4-8 p.m. Thursday at McCombs Funeral Home in Jackson.
