EAST PRAIRIE -- Mrs. Ollie Combs Wilburn, 83, of Sikeston, formerly of East Prairie, died Friday, March 3, 1995, at St. Mary's Hospital in St. Louis.
She was born April 1, 1911, in the Sugar Tree Community of New Madrid County, daughter of Lonnie and Hattie Kelly Griffith.
She was a member of the First Christian Church of East Prairie and Sikeston. She was a retired schoolteacher. She taught in the Anniston, Higgerson and Lower Dogwood schools in Missouri and in Arkansas. She was also a retired license practical nurse.
She first married William J. Combs. He preceded her in death. She then married Lloyd Wilburn.
Survivors include her husband, Lloyd Wilburn, of the home; a daughter, Mrs. Delores Langley of St. Louis; a son, Lonnie Combs of St. Louis; five grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by two brothers, John Griffith and Jess Guillion, and a sister, Pauline Corlew.
Service will be held Sunday at 2 p.m. at the Shelby Funeral Chapel in East Prairie, with the Rev. Martin Lucas officiating. Burial will be in East Prairie Memorial Park Cemetery.
