CAPE GIRARDEAU -- Mrs. Dorothy LaCroix Strange, formerly of Cape Girardeau, died Sunday, Feb. 10 at South Methodist Hospital in Memphis, Tenn. after a long illness. She was 66.
Mrs. Strange was born Oct. 13, 1924 in Advance, the daughter of the late William O. LaCroix and Dewey Davis LaCroix. The family moved to Cape Girardeau in August 1930.
She attended St. Mary's Grade School and graduated from St. Mary's High School in 1942. In June 1946, she married Ronald Strange, who survives.
Other survivors include her mother of Cape Girardeau; two sons, Mike and Johnny Strange, both of Senatobia, Miss.; a daughter, Kathy Hicks of Wyatte, Miss.; three brothers, James LaCroix of French Village, Mo., Paul LaCroix of Monette, Ark. and Bernard LaCroix, of Houston, Texas; two sisters, Juanita Masterson of Cape Girardeau and Lillian Carroll of Seminole, Fla.; and three grandchildren.
C.O. Pate Funeral Home of Senetobia, Miss. was in charge of the arrangements.
Funeral service was Feb. 12 at the St. Gregory Catholic Church in Senatobia, with Fr. Stole officiating. Burial was in the Thyatira Cemetery near Senatobia, where the family lived.
