Morton Grim, 78, of Cape Girardeau died Tuesday, Feb. 28, 2006, at his home. He was born March 19, 1927, in Leora, Mo., son of Ira B. "Bud" and Lillian "Bill" Morton Grim. He and Betty Tanner were married in 1944. He then married Louise Birkland in 1965, who died in 1998. He later married Bonnie Davis in 2001...

Morton Grim, 78, of Cape Girardeau died Tuesday, Feb. 28, 2006, at his home.

He was born March 19, 1927, in Leora, Mo., son of Ira B. "Bud" and Lillian "Bill" Morton Grim. He and Betty Tanner were married in 1944. He then married Louise Birkland in 1965, who died in 1998. He later married Bonnie Davis in 2001.

Grim served in the U.S. Navy 23 years. He was a truck driver with East Texas Motor Freight, and retired after 10 years of service.

He is survived by his wife; two sons, Jerry Grim and wife Jody of Cape Girardeau, Jon Grim and wife Teraca of Frisco, Texas; a daughter, Sandra Boulanger and husband Paul of Anaheim, Calif.; a brother, Bob Grim of Dexter, Mo.; a daughter-in-law, Cindy Grim of Parker, Colo.; nine grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, and a son, Benjamin Grim in 2001.

Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. today at Ford and Sons Mount Auburn Funeral Home.

A graveside service will be held at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery at a later date, with military rites conducted by Missouri Honors Team.
