Morene E. Rampley Propst, 66, longtime resident of Cape Girardeau, died Sunday, April 19, 1992 at Southeast Missouri Hospital.
She was born Dec. 18, 1925 in Zadock, daughter of Leonard Elmer and Verbie Mae Morris Rampley.
She married Bloyse O. Propst on Aug. 8, 1946. He survives of Cape Girardeau.
She was a member of the Southside Baptist Church. She worked for 34 years at Davis Electric, retiring in 1984. She was a member of the Electrical Workers Union No. 1 and the Ladies VFW Auxiliary.
Other survivors are one son, Bloyse O. "Jay" Propst Jr. of Cape Girardeau; one daughter, Brenda Ann Walker of Columbia; one sister, Helen Winfrey of Bell City; six brothers, Charles Rampley of Flint, Mich., Raymond Rampley of Jackson, Joe Rampley of Bloomfield, Jim Rampley and Leonard Rampley of Bell City and Carl Rampley of Sikeston; and five grandchildren.
Friends may call today from 4-7 p.m. at the Ford & Sons Sprigg Street Chapel. Funeral service will be held Tuesday at 1 p.m. at the chapel with Jim Seabaugh officiating. Burial will follow at the Morgan Memorial Cemetery in Advance.
